This course uses a multi-story factory building with a frame structure, located in a seismic zone of level 7, as a case study. It guides students step-by-step on how to integrate various software—Revit, PKPM, YJK, GSCAD, TSSD, and others—for BIM architectural and structural design. The aim is to help students quickly apply their professional skills to real-world projects and meet the demands of BIM information development.
The course is divided into two main parts: BIM architectural design and BIM structural design.
BIM architectural design primarily utilizes Revit, the leading BIM platform, to create detailed factory building models. The instructional videos cover every step—from project preparation and creation to model expansion.
In BIM structural design, the focus is on TSSD software for structural layout and YJK for structural calculations. The process includes exporting data from related programs like GSCAD and PKPM, generating construction drawings automatically via the Guangsha GSplot platform, and applying Guangsha’s automatic preliminary budgeting tools to assist designers with cost estimation.
The expansion section covers the creation of custom families used in this project, allowing users to perform parametric drawings of various components. This aligns with the future direction of the construction industry, emphasizing building standardization, informatization, parameterization, and intelligence.
This course is ideal for professionals who need to quickly master BIM software such as Revit for practical project design.
