This course uses a multi-story frame factory building located in a 7-degree seismic zone as a case study to guide learners step-by-step through the integration of Revit, PKPM, YJK, GSCAD, TSSD, and other related software for BIM-based architectural and structural design. This approach enables students to quickly apply professional skills to real-world projects, fulfilling the demands of BIM information development.
The course is divided into two main parts: BIM architectural design and BIM structural design. The architectural design portion focuses primarily on Revit, the leading BIM platform used today, to create detailed factory building models. The instructional videos cover every step—from project setup and creation to model expansion.
For BIM structural design, the course emphasizes the use of TSSD for structural layout, YJK for structural calculations, and incorporates data export from other software like GSCAD and PKPM. The Guangsha GSplot platform is used to automatically generate structural construction drawings, while Guangsha’s automatic preliminary budgeting tool provides initial budgeting references for designers.
The expansion section addresses the creation of custom families tailored to this project, supporting parametric drawing of components. This reflects the future trends in the construction industry: standardization, informatization, parameterization, and intelligence.
This course is ideal for professionals who need to quickly master BIM software such as Revit for practical project design applications.
