BIM in Project Management: How Design Teams Integrate BIM into Their Workflow

In conventional architectural design workflows, this is typically the final step before the construction plan is handed over to the construction team.

In contrast, the BIM design management process extends beyond this point by incorporating detailed drawing development combined with BIM pipeline synthesis. This approach optimizes construction drawings through comprehensive pipeline integration. Thanks to BIM’s parametric modeling and pipeline synthesis technologies, design teams can identify and resolve issues before the construction phase begins, significantly reducing unexpected problems during implementation. While the benefits of BIM may be less pronounced in smaller projects, its value becomes critical in large, complex engineering endeavors, where it plays a vital role in enhancing the design project management process.
