Everything originates from nature and ultimately returns to it, and design is no exception.
In this project, nature takes center stage—skillfully embracing the landscape shaped by the mountains and rivers. The design blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, making the building appear as if it naturally emerged from the mine itself. Though man-made, it feels entirely organic.
The Yixing Yada Health Ecological Industrial Park is a leisure destination that combines cultural creativity, tourism, outdoor activities, dining, and accommodation. Seamlessly integrated with the surrounding mountains and rivers, it serves as a refreshing oxygen-rich retreat nestled in the lakeside and mountainous scenery.
A key component of this development is the Mine Sports Park, aptly named as it occupies a former mine site. The site’s uneven terrain and varied elevations posed challenges but also provided unique design opportunities.
By thoroughly understanding the local environment, the designers have woven the interior spaces into the architecture and the architecture into the natural surroundings, creating a harmonious and healthy leisure environment.

Built into Nature, Integrated with the Environment
At the entrance, modern design concepts gently soften the rigid boundary between the indoors and outdoors.
A rough stone wall extends inward, creating a seamless transition from exterior to interior. The front desk inside is crafted from the same stone, reinforcing the design’s cohesiveness.
Soft, uniform lighting draws people inside, adding comfort while preserving the space’s natural essence.

Sports Park Entrance
Upon arriving at the swimming pool area, visitors feel as if they are stepping into a natural pond.
The expansive panoramic French windows dissolve barriers, inviting abundant greenery to surround the space and feel within reach.
The water surface becomes part of the spatial flow—reflecting and extending the lush landscape, mirroring the layers of mountains and waters, creating a captivating visual experience.

Reflecting the Charm of Mountains and Waters
Continuing up the stairs leads to the main corridor on the top floor. Whether it’s the deliberately left “skyline” in the upper right corner or the observation window on the left, visitors are constantly reminded of their changing environment.
As the sun sets and the moon rises, the sky brightens gradually, and a peaceful, joyful spirit pulses in harmony with nature.

Indoor Observation of the Outdoor Environment
The concept of transparency runs throughout the project, with glass curtain walls maximizing the stunning views.
From an elevated vantage point, the building resembles a translucent jade, allowing seamless interaction between interior and exterior. Visitors engaged in fitness or relaxation inside become part of the surrounding landscape themselves.

Transparent Architectural Structure

Another highlight is the seamless integration of architectural techniques into the interior design.
The sculptural staircase serves as a striking visual centerpiece, while the dark-colored walkway adds a sense of solidity and interest.
The segmented stone walls incorporate outdoor elements, using stone materials inspired by the mine’s original textures, paying homage to the site and respecting its ecology.
Wood veneer is also used extensively throughout the space, preserving the natural environment and ecological qualities. The realistic textures invite tactile interaction, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

Other Indoor Spaces
In terms of lighting, linear fixtures are frequently used indoors to create a sense of structure and rhythm, complementing the building’s modern architectural design.
