The new headquarters and warehouse for Aníbal Cristina company are located in Posos, Leiria, near the A1 highway. The site covers a total area of 53,589 square meters, featuring a building approximately 720 meters long, with widths ranging from 12 to 150 meters. The building is oriented southwest to northeast. The project is surrounded by continuous forests primarily composed of pine and eucalyptus trees, which are part of the protected Rede Natura forest.
This architectural concept draws inspiration from the functional versatility and plasticity of concrete as a building material, alongside the proprietary knowledge that AOC has gained through its activities, influence, and stability.
The project includes office spaces, a tool room, garage, and an outdoor park featuring tennis courts, lakes, and a slow jogging loop. The building is divided into two sections: a two-story independent office entrance and a one-story garage and archive area that includes a 100-square-meter lecture hall. The main entrance is located on the west side.
The office area connects to the tool room, which is recessed below ground level with an entrance on the west side. This creates two floors above ground and two below ground, allowing direct outdoor access on the negative first and second floors. The exterior includes pathways leading to the building, as well as parking and work areas designated for each functional zone.
