The rural courtyard restaurant serves as a supplementary facility supporting the flourishing rural culture and tourism, and we are honored to be part of this project.
Our aim in this design is to preserve the countryside’s vitality. But what exactly is rural vitality? Vitality means growth, which depends on both context and innovation. Importantly, this innovation must genuinely stem from the context itself, not just its outward form.
The architecture’s formation reflects the site’s growth over time, witnessed through months of development. Whether rough or delicate, isolated or warm, it remains neutral—engaging in a dialogue both with itself and the outside world. It communicates with the Great Wall and invites introspection. Discovering and accepting oneself allows loneliness or warmth to become something truly remarkable.
