Located with a golf course to the south and a residential street to the north, the building site is narrow on the southern side and widens toward the north. This asymmetry contrasts with the surrounding cultural context. To integrate the southern landscape into the home’s interior, the design opens up the south facade, creating a visual corridor through each window frame using false walls and blinds. These elements not only highlight the horizontal framing visually but also regulate the natural light entering the space.

Openings on the north facade, which faces the residential street, as well as on the east and west sides, have been intentionally minimized. To avoid monotony caused by limited openings, the north facade is divided into three sections. A narrow window directly facing the street blocks the outside view while expanding the sightlines toward the neighboring residential area.

The north facade is designed to maintain a strong connection with the street. However, once inside the entrance, the living room opens up to views of the golf course to the south and the vertically oriented staircase behind it.

This striking shift in visual experience offers residents a unique perspective. The wide, horizontal panoramic French window facing south brings a calming natural ambiance, while the vertical open staircase creates more opportunities for family interaction. As residents move up and down the stairs, the changing eye level combined with varying window sizes and placements within the staircase space generates a dynamic and diverse external visual experience.
