The Le Bouton Hotel boldly establishes itself on the vibrant Tran Dinh Dan Street as an organic structure that connects visitors intimately with the surrounding natural environment.

D1 Architecture Studio redefines traditional architectural norms by prioritizing interior design and transforming the building’s facade into a living landscape. Collaborating closely with local artisans, the studio infuses the spirit of Da Nang into every aspect of the design.

Significant effort was dedicated to orienting the hotel to optimize energy efficiency. By harnessing natural wind flow and selecting durable, multifunctional materials, the design effectively addresses the challenges posed by the local climate.

Le Bouton Hotel features 25 guest rooms distributed across seven floors and one basement. The first floor houses a café, bar, and swimming pool, offering guests an upscale hotel experience.

Located in Da Nang, a coastal city renowned for its expansive beaches and majestic Marble Mountains, the hotel draws inspiration from nature, aiming to blend the gentle sea breeze into the urban bustle.

The roof of Le Bouton is sculpted to mimic the wave patterns of underwater currents. The facade features a volcano-like chimney, while guest rooms include bathtubs with views from the top of the building, offering unique perspectives to visitors.

From the basement to the rooftop, various elements reflect Da Nang’s natural scenery: a sand garden in the basement and a dry garden on the terrace.

The rooftop design evokes ocean currents, creating a sensation of floating at sea. The basement’s sand garden is an open space that maximizes natural light, while the dry garden is shaped like a miniature beach, symbolizing the region’s mountains, beaches, and diverse plant life with lightweight pillars.

This miniature model instantly transports guests to Da Nang’s beaches, where they can imagine strolling along the shore as waves gently lap at their ankles.

Walking down the long corridors feels like drifting to sleep to a gentle serenade, enveloped in peaceful tranquility, rediscovering the joy and innocence of childhood embraced by nature.

The mineral hot spring pool is designed to resemble a cave, with natural streams flowing from steep limestone cliffs. Entering this pool transports guests to a fairyland filled with natural wonders.

As urbanization accelerates and becomes increasingly superficial, the connection between humans and nature, life, and one another weakens. This project places the customer experience at its core, aiming to restore these vital bonds.

The true value of this project lies not in the building itself, but in its ability to offer an escape from cold concrete offices, stress, and routine—allowing guests to disconnect from life’s demands and rediscover themselves.

D1 Architecture Studio aspires to transform architectural thinking and perceptions, including a fresh approach to facade design. For them, architecture is not just about buildings but about creating homes where people live, breathe, and appreciate nature’s beauty.

The stone benches and wooden tables in the lounge areas are crafted by local artists, drawing visitors closer to Da Nang’s natural environment. In this project, the facade becomes a subtle accent—like the dot on the letter “i”—rather than dominating the structure.

The free-flowing architectural concept, skylights, and interior design elements enhance the facade’s beauty. Skylights not only broaden views, bring in natural light, and encourage air circulation, but also connect different spaces seamlessly.

D1 Architecture Studio’s work is deeply rooted in local culture. The architects thoughtfully integrate local materials in their designs, bringing a sense of intimacy and authenticity. This approach supports the local economy while preserving traditional values.

Working closely with skilled craftsmen, every interior detail is carefully planned to emphasize minimalist layouts and natural material textures without any unnecessary embellishments.

Da Nang presents unique challenges for architects due to its distinctive landscape and climate. The central region experiences hot, rainy weather, especially during storms, and the project’s proximity to the sea requires materials resilient to extreme weather. The architects proposed an organic structural design allowing minor construction deviations while maintaining creativity and environmental sensitivity.

This design features a thick, sturdy protective layer to withstand intense sunlight and carefully calculated vertical orientation to harness natural wind, reducing air conditioning use and promoting energy conservation.
