Architecture serves as a physical space for people’s lives and activities, fulfilling functional needs while also offering psychological and physiological comfort. Truly exceptional architecture becomes a spiritual place, unique and harmoniously connected to its surroundings.

The concept of ‘place’ combines both natural and human-made environments, reflecting lifestyles, historical culture, and environmental characteristics unique to a location. It transcends physical form, acting as a vessel for spirit, emotion, and memory.

Architects study the developmental process of their buildings through architectural typology, aiming to create a distinctive sense of place that fosters belonging and identity for its users.

△ Design sketch
This project’s planning thoughtfully integrates the existing terrain and forest with the red soil geological park to the north, maximizing the site’s natural landscape resources. By varying heights and orientations, each unit enjoys scenic views.

In addition, the design respects the original water sources, shaping the building’s form to follow the natural flow of water. This creates a dynamic structure that appears to grow organically from the site, blending seamlessly with nature.

The architectural design incorporates circular motifs inspired by the site’s environment, with expansive glass surfaces that invite natural light and landscape views indoors. This design evokes a feeling of lightness and upward growth.

Using materials such as wood-grain aluminum panels, steel frameworks, and curved glass, the building achieves a lightweight appearance through structural techniques like core tube support, overhead elements, and high overhangs.

The building’s distinctive suspended design responds to its environment, fostering a connection between nature and people. It appears to grow like mushrooms on the mountain, perched gently among the treetops.

This project aims to integrate modern architecture with the local context, creating a distinctive atmosphere that instills a sense of belonging.

The design draws inspiration from Eastern cultural aesthetics, capturing the serene charm of Annam’s mountains and forests. It avoids overt decorative elements in favor of a simple, soft design that organically grows with the natural landscape.
