Editor’s Note: This project features a square design by the PRODUCORA firm. While the design concept is straightforward, the creative use of materials and colors creates a captivating aesthetic that draws viewers in. This week, we highlight selected works from this Mexican firm over recent years for your appreciation.

The project is situated in the El Tenayo residential area of Tlalnepantla de Baz city. It involves renovating an existing hill that was once an open public space. The renovation introduces nine 20m by 20m blocks arranged across the original terrain.

Each square serves a distinct purpose: a civic square with a waving flag, a tree-lined plaza, a children’s activity area, a square with benches, a multifunctional triangular pavilion, an ice rink, outdoor fitness equipment, and two courts with spectator stands.

The site is bordered by surrounding sidewalks and a 2.5-meter-wide pathway. The blocks connect to the sidewalks via stairs and ramps, ensuring accessibility for people with disabilities. The project also includes improvements to sidewalks, street lighting, flower beds, and other street amenities.
