The Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel, owned by the Royal Asset Management Authority, stands as one of the latest architectural highlights within Sindhorn Village. Situated along Langhua Road, the site is flanked by two high-rise buildings, with the project’s primary green space serving as a significant urban “super green” area.

As a model of environmentally conscious and wellness-focused urban hotels, this project is thoughtfully designed to engage with the surrounding green spaces. It features a distinctive leisure area and garden observation terrace, inviting guests to immerse themselves in natural surroundings. The building’s undulating façade creates diverse, dynamic spaces both on the ground floor and within private guest rooms.

At the intersection where the building meets the ground, a monumental dome forms the hotel’s iconic entrance. Crafted from plain concrete, this grand passage frames the Sindhorn façade and welcomes guests with a distinctive architectural gesture. The dome also enhances the continuity of the surrounding green areas. The building’s exterior is painted in earthy brown tones, harmonizing with neighboring structures and blending seamlessly into the natural environment.

The hotel’s interior layout is organized around a single-sided corridor flanking a large indoor atrium, which floods the public spaces with abundant natural light.

△ Design Strategy

An innovative ventilation system is a key feature of the building. It offers switchable modes that open to allow fresh air in through the massive dome and ventilation doors.

△ Ventilation analysis

When switched off, the system prevents hot air from entering the building’s air conditioning system, helping to maintain energy efficiency.

△ Construction process
The building’s rooftop has been excavated to create a circular opening, which allows the internal atrium to receive more natural sunlight throughout the day.

Additionally, a bowl-shaped panoramic swimming pool along with other hotel amenities are located on the 9th floor, providing guests with relaxing spaces accessible from various levels.
