For office projects, we prefer to create a poetic atmosphere.
This office space is located within a design center inside a shopping mall. Due to its placement, lighting and ventilation are severely limited, with only one side offering adequate natural light and airflow.

To address these challenges, we moved away from traditional office design methods and adopted a semi-open layout featuring internal architectural elements that evoke a natural village atmosphere—referred to as a “design tribe.” The architectural components are arranged in a staggered, free-flowing manner to foster a sense of organic connection.

Design often embodies beautiful hopes and blessings. The west entrance, serving as the only air inlet, features the reception desk and a striking background wall. This wall displays several large sails, complemented by an abstract speedboat design in the foreground, symbolizing the “Huanmeng Southeast Asia Design Center” setting sail on its journey.
The overall layout emphasizes shared spaces, breaking away from traditional patterns by reducing private office areas and expanding communal zones to form a shared core. This approach dissolves boundaries, creating a dynamic environment filled with layered views and rhythmic transitions.
The architectural forms evoke a natural village, drawing inspiration from nature—not replicating it, but distilling and refining its essence.

We employed a staged design approach to create a dreamlike setting. By integrating virtual and physical elements on the surrounding walls and ceilings, and using black as the base color, boundaries become blurred, expanding the space for imagination. This design brings the natural world onto a poetic stage. Lighting is primarily point-based, utilizing exhibition techniques to achieve theatrical effects.

A white house and golden wheat fields are set against a black background, forming a striking color block that breaks traditional composition and abstractly captures elements from reality, enhancing the poetic quality.
The lighting highlights the golden wheat and white houses, making them the focal points of the space. The warm tones foster a sense of closeness and community.

China has a rich agricultural heritage that has deeply influenced its culture throughout history. As modern cities gradually detach from the land and crops, we aim to use the imagery of an autumn harvest as a metaphor for abundance and prosperity, resonating deeply within people’s hearts. This connection reflects our cultural roots and innate identity. This beautiful metaphor represents hope and fuels our longing for a better life.

Space exists not just as a physical entity, but as a vessel for poetry and distant dreams.
