Located on a plateau, this unique site offers breathtaking views of the Pyrenees Mountains, surrounded by farmland, forests, and some suburban homes. Inspired by the natural features of the area, our design for Ger Stadium embraces the pastoral architectural style, seamlessly blending the sports venue with the countryside environment.

This flexible structure harmonizes with the surrounding landscape. The clean, slender lines of the stands define the venue’s character, giving the club a distinct identity. The sunshade along the front edge of the stands, paired with a wooden mesh at the base, creates a sense of lightness that contrasts sharply with the raw concrete structure.
The reinforced concrete foundation guarantees strength and longevity with minimal maintenance. It also addresses concerns related to earthquakes and structural resonance. The roof features a dual-layer design—an opaque lower cover and a semi-transparent upper layer—allowing sunlight to reach the field directly. This configuration minimizes shadow coverage and helps reduce the chill during winter months.

On the interior west facade, wooden slats are installed, resembling delicate wooden lace that effectively filters sunlight. This folded wood design gives the stands a distinctive look. The triangular gantry supports the ceiling, adding both structural integrity and innovative form.
The reception hall’s architecture connects intimately with the observation deck. The roof and zinc cladding on the west side create a flexible space that enhances the glass volume of the room. The use of glued laminated timber frames adds warmth and comfort to the reception area.
