This 320㎡ flat residential building is located in Berg, Nesoden, Norway. Inspired by the homeowner family’s passion for stairs, the architectural design embraces complexity and diversity in its spatial layout. The house is positioned next to a sunny garden on the southwest side and offers stunning views of the fjord and the Oslo region.

The ceiling of the residence follows the natural undulations of the terrain, while the building’s geometric angles align with the steep slope to the west, creating a natural boundary framed by lush greenery. This project challenges the conventional concept of isolated rooms by incorporating staggered overlapping spaces and “semi” planes, all thoughtfully designed to foster interaction, communication, and shared activities among residents.
