This renovated residential building is nestled within a dense community, featuring a spacious open area that borders a community lake and offers distant views of a nearby park. The landscape here is stunning, providing expansive and serene vistas.

The design aims to blend indoor living with the outdoors, allowing residents to fully appreciate the beautiful surroundings. Due to its unique orientation, the building faces away from the community, creating a semi-private and semi-open space. From within the courtyard, the presence of the dense community is barely noticeable. Instead, residents enjoy a close-up view of the courtyard, a mid-range view of the lake, and a distant view of the community park.

The original facade facing the landscape has been fully opened, retaining only essential structural elements. Outdoors, a canopy, living platform, and ramp were added to extend the formerly isolated indoor space into the horizontal landscape. The interior living areas have been expanded to merge with the courtyard, stretching all the way to the lake and seamlessly integrating with the distant park scenery.

The sunken courtyard is designed with a gentle slope, integrating the underground space and the second floor into a continuous, three-dimensional landscape that connects closely with the surrounding terrain. The other three sides of the building are enclosed by courtyard walls, offering privacy from the community while cultivating a complete and scenic spatial atmosphere. This design encourages residents to reconnect with nature and enjoy an immersive natural experience.
