Situated on the island of Pagan in southern Thailand, this hotel rests peacefully on a hillside surrounded by coconut groves. It offers stunning panoramic views of the distant sea horizon. Designed with health rehabilitation and experiential tourism in mind, the project centers around two key concepts: simplicity and new experience.

The hotel features 40 guest rooms alongside key public spaces including a restaurant, spa center, and swimming pool. Its layout is carefully designed to meet guest expectations. Nestled at the back of the site and concealed within lush greenery along the main road, the staggered building sizes optimize sunlight exposure for each room. From these guest rooms, guests enjoy unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape.

Guests enter the hotel through a narrow path at the bottom of the site, which leads up to the lobby perched on the hillside. This open lobby, featuring a rooftop terrace, integrates seamlessly with the natural surroundings, eliminating the need for artificial walls. The rooftop hosts main public areas such as the restaurant, swimming pool, and relaxation spaces. From this vantage point, guests can enjoy sweeping views of the mountains, sea, and sunsets.

When it comes to guest room design, the focus is on embracing the natural tropical climate. Each room features two entrances: a secure front door and a fully enclosed secondary access point. An open foyer, lighting wells, and openings on both sides of the rooms invite guests to engage with natural elements such as sunlight, breeze, and rain. Sunlight fills both the room and bathroom, extending out onto the balcony. This balcony stretches 2.5 meters from the room, creating a unique outdoor space that encourages guests to both observe and be observed.

The hotel utilizes simple materials throughout. The exterior features clear water concrete, with molds made from local coconut tree wood, cleverly reflecting regional character. This results in a raw, textured surface that produces dynamic shadows and visual interest. While the exterior remains rugged, the interior incorporates black terrazzo and teak wood, adding warmth and comfort.
