Soundproof walls, as the name implies, are prefabricated components designed to block sound waves. Their surfaces can feature a variety of textures to enhance their effectiveness.
There are three main types of soundproof walls:
Noise Reflection Walls
These walls are commonly installed along busy roads to block traffic noise. While some sound may still pass through, its intensity is significantly reduced. A key feature of noise reflection walls is that they tend to be taller than other types of soundproof barriers.
Noise Dispersion Walls
Noise dispersion walls redirect sound waves upward and downward through different inclinations and surface patterns. They are often considered a variation of noise reflection walls, particularly in industrial building applications.
Noise Absorption Walls
These walls use specially designed membranes or channels to absorb and dissipate sound pressure. Although their design is quite specialized, their noise reduction efficiency is generally lower for large-scale applications.
