Issues with Selecting Elements in Revit
When grids or drawings are locked, moving them requires first unlocking these elements. However, locked elements cannot be selected directly. To resolve this, click the Lock Elements option located at the bottom right of the interface, which allows you to select locked items.
While drawing floor slabs, it’s necessary to select the slab edges to manipulate the slab itself. Occasionally, adjusting the view still doesn’t allow edge selection. In such cases, enable the Select Element by Face button at the bottom right corner to select the slab using its face instead.
Similarly, the other two buttons—Link and Baseline—may prevent selection if they are not activated. Be sure these options are enabled when you encounter selection issues with linked or baseline elements.
