How to Define Numbering Methods for Different Steel Bar Sets in Revit
When placing steel bar sets with varying distributions in Revit, you can specify the numbering method through the Reinforcement Settings dialog box. This allows you to control the numbering pattern for different steel bar sets within a section.
To access this setting, go to the Structure tab, then click the dropdown menu in the Reinforcement panel, and select Rebar Settings.
In the Reinforcement Settings dialog box, you can choose one of the following options:
- Number components separately: Assigns a unique number to each steel bar within the set. This matches similar steel bars throughout the entire project according to the standard numbering convention.
- Number components as a whole: Assigns the same number to every steel bar in the set. Individual bars are then distinguished by a specified suffix number.
