How to Export EXE Files with Enscape in Revit for Free Effect Viewing
After completing your model, you often need to present different results to your client, including various stages of effect displays. Traditional image or video renderings from software might not fully meet client expectations. However, generating a quick and lightweight EXE application allows clients to freely explore the model, saving significant effort.
1. First, install the Enscape software. Be sure to close your modeling program during installation. Once installed, open your model in Revit. Then, click the Start button on the Enscape toolbar to launch Enscape. Keep in mind that Enscape offers real-time rendering, so any adjustments made in Revit will immediately update in Enscape.
Once Enscape is running, as shown in the image below, you can navigate and render your model interactively.
2. Return to Revit and locate the Export EXE option (represented by an EXE icon) in the Enscape tab. Click on it to begin exporting.
Enter a name for your EXE file and wait briefly for the export to complete.
3. Double-click the exported EXE file to open it. You will find the model matches the real-time rendered version in Enscape. Although video and image export functions are disabled in this EXE, it remains lightweight and flexible, allowing model viewing without any additional software installation.
