Can I Draw Openings on Slopes in Revit?
Creating openings in ramps is a common requirement in real-world projects. However, in Revit, this task presents significant challenges. Traditional methods such as editing sketches, aligning lines, or using the opening command often fail to produce the desired result. This can be quite frustrating—are ramps with openings simply not achievable in Revit?
Fortunately, there are several approaches to modeling ramps. Our recommended method is to create ramps as floor slabs, apply slope arrows to these slabs, and then draw openings directly within the sketch editor. This technique simplifies the process and yields better results.
