How to Add Curtain Wall Grids to a Curtain Wall System in Revit
Start by creating a curtain wall system without enabling the automatic grid creation feature. You can add the curtain wall grids afterward, which will help you accurately place the mullions.
To add grids, go to the Structure tab, then find the Build panel and select Curtain Wall Grid.
Next, open a 3D view. When you move your cursor to the edge of the curtain wall system, a temporary gridline appears. Click to place the gridlines where needed.
Tip: While placing curtain wall grid lines, the cursor will snap to the intersections of the system’s boundary lines with other lines or reference planes, making precise placement easier.
Once placed, Revit automatically fills each grid section (also called a design unit) with individual curtain wall panels.
