Leaving Gaps When Dividing Parts in Revit

If you want to create gaps between segmented parts, you can do so in the Attributes panel under Restrictions. There, you will find the Divide Gap option where you can enter a positive value. The system will then automatically carve out the specified gap. The resulting segmented effect looks like this:

Alternatively, if you want the gap to be filled with a different material, using the copy command may be more convenient. When copying, leave a gap distance between parts, and the gap can be filled with the material assigned to the undivided part. The effect appears as follows:

By understanding these differences, you can more easily control how parts are divided and how gaps are handled in your Revit projects.
