PIXELAND Pixel Park is a public space enhancement project that unites various outdoor amenities into a harmonious environment. It features distinctive landscapes, children’s play areas, and leisure facilities for adults, all integrated seamlessly.

The concept behind this project draws inspiration from the digital pixel—the smallest independent unit of a digital image, each with unique RGB or CMYK color data. When combined, countless pixels create the complete image.

Translating this idea into spatial design, we envisioned a multifunctional public space composed of smaller, independent functional “pixels” that are added and combined.

Each pixel functions as a standalone unit, retaining its own purpose and characteristics. Together, these pixels form a vibrant and engaging multifunctional public space.

Considering that a 5 x 5 meter square is the minimum spatial unit suitable for accommodating crowds, the core pixel of this project is designed as a perfect 5 x 5 meter square, subdivided into smaller pixels measuring 1.25 x 1.25 meters. This modular design effectively addresses edge circulation, pedestrian flow, and landscape integration.

To manage the edges of the space, small pixel-like green plants surround the square, providing privacy and security. The square also includes a rest area, picnic tables and chairs, box-shaped lounge seating with shade, sunken public benches, gently sloping lawns, and an open-air theater for intimate gatherings.

Beyond leisure, Pixeland offers a rich variety of interactive and playful games. At the center of the square is a horse-themed amusement park, designed to delight and entertain young visitors.

The chessboard-shaped square features a multi-level design, creating an engaging artificial terrain that slopes upward toward the center. At its peak sits the “horse” element, serving as a symbolic centerpiece.
