Studio Malmö is situated in the heart of Malmö’s urban center, a lively city in southern Sweden. This port complex development spans approximately 22,000 square meters. The 14-story building houses a diverse mix of spaces including offices, conference rooms, a restaurant, coffee bar, activity areas, retail outlets, a hotel, and a sky bar.
As a key element in the Malmö Port regeneration project, Studio Malmö aims to enrich the city’s urban life with a striking landmark that serves as a vibrant focal point in Sweden’s third-largest city.

The completion of Studio Malmö marks the final phase of construction on Malmö’s artificial island, Universitetsholmen. Positioned at the entrance to Malmö Inner Harbor, the building acts as a unifying element for the area.
Its design draws inspiration from traditional Scandinavian aesthetics, featuring simple yet recognizable architecture. The building’s clear geometric form blends harmoniously with both contemporary and historic structures nearby, utilizing BIM design techniques. Additionally, the project introduces a new public square facing the harbor and city center.

The first floor features a coffee shop, retail stores, and event and exhibition spaces designed with BIM building methods. Accessible from both the coastal and street sides, these areas open onto the atrium-facing square.
The spacious wooden staircase within the courtyard serves as a versatile platform for various activities and leads to the upper floors. Here, you’ll find meeting rooms, offices, reception areas, the hotel, and the sky bar.
The open-plan office spaces are connected through an atrium, encouraging cross-disciplinary collaboration while offering clear views of the building’s diverse functional zones.

The hotel houses 95 guest rooms and includes a specialty restaurant and bar located on the rooftop, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Malmö city and the port.
The cocktail bar, restaurant, and sky bar, occupying approximately 250 square meters on the top floor, provide an exceptional vantage point overlooking the cityscape.

The building’s facade contrasts dark brick with white concrete window frames, while the warm interior materials create a welcoming and secure atmosphere, making it a true home for its visitors.
