How to Add Missing Material Textures in Revit

How to Add Missing Rendering Material Images in Revit

When transferring a Revit file and opening it on a new computer, any custom images you added to materials may be lost.

To restore these missing images, follow these steps:

  1. Open Revit on your new computer. Then go to the File menu and select Options.
  2. In the Options dialog box, under the Rendering section, add the folder location where your material images are stored.
  3. Open your project again. The missing textures should now be displayed correctly on the components.

Explanation: Since the images used in a project are stored locally, transferring the project without these image files causes the rendered images to disappear. By moving the folder containing your images and adding its path in the Options > Rendering dialog box, you can quickly restore large numbers of material images and achieve the intended rendering results.
