How to Set Display Color and Transparency for a Model in Navisworks
Sometimes, it’s necessary to adjust the appearance of selected models in Autodesk Navisworks, such as changing their colors or transparency levels. This is especially useful when you want to observe the internal structure of a model while still displaying its external form. Setting the model’s transparency allows you to achieve this effect. But how exactly do you set transparency?
1. First, create a selection set for the model you want to make transparent. This makes it easier to select and modify the model.
2. Next, go to the Project Tools tab, which appears only when a model is selected. In the Appearance palette, you can adjust the display color and transparency of the model. The settings you apply here will affect the model’s appearance.
3. Configure the desired transparency and color settings according to your needs.
4. After applying the settings, you will see the updated display effect on your model.
