Selecting the ideal landscape viewpoint and focusing investment efficiently are crucial aspects of the entire landscape planning for a resort set within a natural environment.

The layout begins at the parking lot, where a long entrance path leads to a mysterious welcoming node that forms the foreground. Beyond this, the open midfield landscape and the stepped hotel establish a dynamic mid-view, culminating with the cool, elevated SPA at the highest point, completing the overall structure. The central winding mountain road creates a vast hinterland accommodating numerous hotel villas.

The primary landscape objective here is to clarify the relationship between the water systems, mountains, and buildings. The design incorporates appropriate construction methods aimed at minimizing forest damage, followed by habitat restoration.

The hotel’s service flow and the challenges of mountainous construction define two main design axes. The project benefits from the beautiful mountain contours and extensive bamboo sea, which, combined with the design of the foreground pond, allow the architecture to employ multiple setbacks that activate the main landscape in various ways.
The mountain’s natural slope offers an excellent opportunity, while the expansive terraces on each floor address the common issue of limited interaction with the environment found in typical hotels above the second floor. This design allows hotel operators to implement a richer variety of activities.

The spacious terraces on each guest room floor, comparable in size to a courtyard, provide guests with diverse ways to enjoy the mountain views.

Regarding circulation, the mountain’s form was utilized to accommodate three intertwined but separate service flows: vehicular, pedestrian, and logistics. The hotel’s logistics route is placed along the front facade, cleverly designed to also serve as a scenic element.

Huixin Valley Villa
As a hotel villa, achieving a unique lifestyle experience that surpasses ordinary residential buildings was a key focus. The villa’s standout features include a vast sky garden and a mountaintop swimming pool.

In terms of architectural form, the design embraces simplicity and constructability. The villa’s visual impact is created through two intersecting volumes and their parallel, protruding eaves.
