How to Attach Walls to Stairs in Revit

BIM Software Tip: How to Attach Revit Walls to Stairs

The staircase section shown in the image usually requires a wall to be placed underneath for support.

Here is a simple step-by-step example:

1. First, draw a wall and position it accordingly. Then, create a section view at the relevant location.

2. After adjusting the profile, switch to the profile view, draw a reference plane, and align it with the bottom of the staircase.

3. Select the wall, go to the wall properties panel, and find the option to modify the wall’s top or bottom attachment. Click on Attach Top/Bottom, then select the previously created reference plane.

4. The wall is now successfully attached. To detach, use the Separate Top/Bottom option and follow the same steps as in point (3).
