Creating Wind Systems in Revit: A Comprehensive Guide

BIM Software Tip: How to Create a Wind System in Revit

1. After placing the duct end and air conditioning unit, select one of the diffusers. This action will activate the duct creation system function in the toolbar.

2. Choose the appropriate system type. If the desired duct system is not available, you can add it within the duct system section of the Project Browser.

3. Once the duct system is created, the editing system will automatically include all unselected air duct terminals. Next, select the device and add the air conditioning unit to complete the system editing process.

4. Select a device and then opt to generate a layout for the system.

5. Multiple layout options will be generated. Choose the distribution scheme that best fits your needs. This completes the creation of your duct system.

Note: In the layout, the blue line represents the main pipe, the green line indicates branch pipes, and the yellow line signals a connection issue at that location.
