Editor’s Note: From November 5th to 6th, 2018, the 2018 China Construction Industry Modernization Development Committee Academic Annual Conference was successfully held in Shenzhen. This event was guided by the China Society of Architects and the Shenzhen Housing and Construction Bureau, hosted by the China Society of Architects’ Construction Industry Modernization Development Committee, and supported by the Guangdong Provincial Construction Industry Association, Shenzhen Construction Technology Promotion Center, and Shenzhen Construction Industrialization Association. The Shenzhen Branch of China Construction Technology Group Co., Ltd. organized the conference.
More than 500 representatives from technology and management sectors related to the development, design, production, and construction of prefabricated buildings attended. Members of the first council of the China Society of Architects’ Construction Industry Modernization Development Committee, along with leaders from government regulatory departments nationwide, participated in the discussions. The conference centered on the theme of “New Era, New Power, New Concept, and New Technology,” exploring how to seize development opportunities in this new era.
Through in-depth discussions and exchanges on key topics such as realizing the potential of new power assembly, driving change with innovative concepts, and fostering innovation through new technologies, the participants reached a consensus. The agreement emphasized providing high-quality final products for society as the core of building industrialization and comprehensively promoting the development of prefabricated buildings. These insights serve as valuable recommendations for advancing the modernization of China’s construction industry and ensuring the sustainable, steady, and healthy growth of prefabricated construction.
