From March 28 to 31, 2017, the Construction Industry Modernization Development Committee of the Chinese Architectural Society, together with China Construction Technology Group Co., Ltd., successfully conducted a vocational skills training course focused on sleeve grouting for prefabricated construction. Organized by China Construction Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., the program attracted over 70 participants from across the country.
Over the course of just four days, the training emphasized the technical aspects of sleeve grouting connections. Covering everything from fundamental theory and practical techniques to construction methods and sample inspections, the comprehensive curriculum clarified essential concepts and addressed critical issues within every stage of sleeve grouting construction.
Participants engaged in hands-on activities such as inspecting and treating prefabricated component installation surfaces and connecting steel bars, component installation and adjustment, industrial building fixation, cavity partitioning and sealing, grouting of prefabricated components, grout outlet pipe inspection, and solid grouting. These practical exercises helped trainees solidify their knowledge, enhance their skills, standardize procedures, and integrate the expertise into their professional capabilities.
The training also addressed common challenges encountered in daily work related to sleeve grouting through expert lectures and interactive Q&A sessions. Attendees unanimously agreed that this rare opportunity yielded substantial benefits and meaningful results.
This groundbreaking training marked the first national vocational skills program dedicated to prefabricated construction during a period of rapid growth in China’s industry. It addressed the urgent shortage of skilled technical and industrial workers needed by enterprises involved in prefabricated construction projects.
Upon returning to their workplaces, these trainees are expected to become key technical experts and driving forces in advancing prefabricated construction across China. The program highlights the vital role of the Construction Industry Modernization Development Committee of the China Architecture Society and China Construction Technology Group Co., Ltd. as platforms for communication and technological leadership.
