Construction Quantity Control

For site engineers, traditional quantity calculations are often time-intensive and may lack accuracy, making verification difficult. Owners frequently require calculation formulas for confirmation. BIM streamlines this process: once structural components, material locations, and calculation formulas are verified, the computer automatically calculates quantities directly from the model. This eliminates tedious manual verification, significantly improving accuracy and efficiency in quantity management.

Construction Quality Control

After completing the BIM construction model, contractors must follow it closely during construction. To ensure site work aligns with the BIM model, engineers can use tablet computers to access the model in the cloud for real-time comparison. On-site measurements verify compliance with the model’s specifications, and digital photos can be taken for quality checks. This digital approach enhances construction quality control and accountability.
