Since the release of Revit 2012, Autodesk has steadily enhanced the parts list functionality. Notably, the 2015 version introduced four major improvements:
1. The top and bottom limits, along with offsets of walls, are now included as optional fields. This allows for layered calculations of the quantity and area of partition walls, improving accuracy in quantity takeoffs. Previously, overcoming this required using project parameters for custom-built floors.
2. Image links can be inserted directly into the parts list. These images will appear once the list is placed on the drawing. However, each image must be added individually, as there is no option to bulk-add images based on categories.
These first two enhancements significantly improve the management and quantity calculation of wall data. The ability to add images without external processing is a valuable new feature.
3. The number of filtering criteria has been increased from four to eight. Previously, only four filters were available, which was quite limiting.
4. The header for totals can now be customized, offering greater flexibility when creating detailed schedules.
