Some versions of AutoCAD do not include Express Tools by default. To install them, you need to enable the option during the AutoCAD installation process. When installing AutoCAD, access the installation configuration or options, and if the Express Tools checkbox is not selected, make sure to enable it.
If AutoCAD is already installed and you want to add Express Tools, follow these steps:
Open the Windows Control Panel and navigate to Programs and Features (or Add or Remove Programs on Windows XP). The quickest way to find this is by typing “Programs and Features” into the search bar of the Start menu.
Find AutoCAD in the list of installed programs and double-click it to modify the installation.
When the Setup window opens, select the “Add or Remove Features” option.
In the list of program components, locate Express Tools and check its box. Depending on your AutoCAD version, you may need to click once or twice to find this option.
Click Next or Update to begin installing Express Tools.
If Express Tools appears as installed but is not visible within AutoCAD, try unchecking the option to remove it, then return and add it again.
