BIM Software Tip: How to Restore Invisible Viewports in AutoCAD
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you view invisible viewports again:
First, go to the Layout tab and locate the viewport that is causing the issue.
Next, open the Properties palette and click the Quick Select button in the upper right corner.
In the Quick Select dialog box, set the object type to Viewport, then click OK.
If you have deleted other viewports on the Layout tab, the selection will update accordingly. By holding down the Shift key and clicking on the viewports you want to keep, you can isolate only the invisible viewports from the visible ones.
If the selected viewport remains invisible, try launching the VPCLIP command and type P to draw a polygon around the invisible viewport. The exact shape and size don’t matter.
After that, restart the VPCLIP command, select the polygon you just created, and choose the Delete option. This will make the previously invisible viewports visible again.
