BIM Software Tip: Why Revit Cannot Edit Structural Floors
When working on structural projects, you may often encounter an error message while trying to edit floor slabs, as illustrated in the image below:
This error message can be confusing and difficult to understand. Essentially, it indicates a calculation error that occurs during the generation of the analysis model for structural floor slabs. So, how can this issue be resolved?
Since Revit requires a complete structural analysis model, the solution is to select the problematic floor slabs and adjust their settings. Specifically, change the edge horizontal alignment to [Projection] within the analysis floors. This adjustment helps minimize errors and misunderstandings when creating the analysis model, preventing unsolvable errors from occurring.
