Overview of New MEP Features in Revit 2015 (Part 14)

BIM Software Tip: Summary of New MEP Features in Revit 2015 (14)

Document: Copy View

In Revit 2015, the default naming convention for newly copied views has been updated. Now, the copied view is positioned closer to the original view in the project browser, improving navigation and organization.

In the original 2014 version, copying views resulted in the following behavior:

The copied view’s name began with the word “Copy,” which caused automatic sorting to place it far away from the original view. This made it harder to locate related views quickly.

In contrast, Revit 2015 handles copied views differently:

The new copied view name starts with the original view’s name and ends with the word “copy.” This approach keeps the copied view close to the original in the project browser, facilitating easier access and better organization.
