BIM Software Tip: How to Mark Wall Openings in REVIT

Wall openings cannot be marked directly. Instead, they are modified through the Door Family or Window Family. The marking process follows these steps:

1. Select the door corresponding to the opening you want to mark, then click Edit Family.

2. Select all elements of the door and delete them, as shown in the image below.

3. Load the modified family back into the project, choosing to overwrite the existing version and parameters.

4. Lock the 3D view for stability.

5. Apply a door tag to mark the opening, as illustrated in the following figure.
