BIM Software Tip: Autodesk Material Library Path
Material settings in Revit often fall short of our needs, requiring us to customize materials based on specific textures. However, creating or sourcing these textures on your own can be a tedious process.
Fortunately, the software includes a very useful texture library that is often overlooked. If you installed Revit using the default settings, you can find the material library at the following path:
C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesAutodesk SharedMaterialsTextures1Mats
Inside this directory, there are three folders named 1, 2, and 3, which contain a variety of texture files ready for use.
