BIM Software Tip: Understanding Revit Help Files

Revit offers two types of help files, each containing different information. The first type is the local help file, which is installed directly on your computer along with the software. The second type is the online wiki help.

So, how do you access these two types of help? By default, when you press F1 on a computer connected to the internet, Revit opens the online wiki help. However, if you want to view the local help instead, simply disconnect from the internet and press F1 again.

In my experience, the local help tends to be better written and more comprehensive!
