BIM Software Tip: How to Add Slope to Pipes in Revit MEP

When drawing pipes with slopes, such as air conditioning pipes or gravity drainage pipes, you may notice that the required slope values are not available in the default options. So, how can you add the slope values you need?

1. Click SystemPipelineUpward slope or downward slope. You will see only a limited set of slope values.

2. To add the specific slope values required for your project, go to ManagementMEP SettingsMechanical SettingsSelect pipeline settingsSlope. Here, you can add new slope values as needed.

3. After adding the new slope values, when you draw the pipeline and select either the upward or downward slope option, you will find the newly added slope values available for selection. This confirms that the slope values have been successfully added.
