Collision detection using BIM models involves applying civil engineering and installation calculation software to create a BIM model for analysis. By utilizing a collision review system, multiple professional models are integrated, allowing for the automatic identification of clashes within the model. Users simply need to submit completed calculation models to receive comprehensive collision review reports. This process is divided into the following five key phases:
Phase 1: Submission of civil engineering and installation calculation models;
Phase 2: Model review and necessary revisions;
Phase 3: Automated collision detection and generation of results within the system backend;
Phase 4: Expert manual verification and retrieval of related drawings;
Phase 5: Preparation and delivery of the collision review statement.
If a calculation model has not yet been created, users can provide electronic drawings directly to the design institute. Measurement specialists will then develop the calculation model before proceeding with the collision review. This approach ensures that users receive collision review statements as well as achieve all project objectives efficiently.
