Apple The Exchange TRX marks the debut Apple Store in Malaysia, situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. TRX is a mixed-use development that integrates commercial, residential, entertainment, and cultural spaces, aiming to become a new city landmark.
At night, the store’s multi-layered roof emits a warm glow, drawing visitors in. This innovative design creates a new visual and spatial link between the mall’s central atrium and the rooftop garden, which features a lush tropical landscape and a public lawn that wraps around the entire upper level.

The building spans 87 by 87 feet (26.5 by 26.5 meters) and features a unique glass dome that smoothly transitions from square to circular shapes from base to top. To suit Malaysia’s tropical climate, the roof is composed of carefully angled fin-shaped panels designed to block sunlight and control solar heat gain.
At the dome’s center, a glass opening made from 30% ceramic-glazed material allows soft natural light to filter inside, enhancing the interior ambiance with dynamic lighting effects.

The store consists of three floors, topped with an observation deck that connects directly to the park’s edge. Inside, soaring ceilings bring in sunlight and incorporate greenery, enhancing the connection to nature.
A sculptural staircase and a custom glass elevator link the floors, offering multiple sightlines throughout the space. The floating deck houses the forum area, while the lowest floor—directly accessible from the mall—features the main avenue and display tables.
Additional amenities include a video wall, meeting rooms, and a dedicated Apple pickup point, all designed to enhance the customer experience.

The entire building is crafted with high-quality materials, including natural stone walls, polished stainless steel columns, light terrazzo floors, and wooden ceilings, reflecting meticulous attention to detail.
