01 Project Overview
This project is situated on Inner Ring South Road in Sanshui District, Foshan City. It is designed as a boutique homestay hotel with a total construction area of 8,069 square meters. The location lies north of Sanshui Yundonghai Forest Park and east of Yundonghai National Wetland Park, offering a beautiful environment rich in natural resources. This makes it a vital part of the Donghai Tourism Economic Zone.
The site is bordered by a school to the west, a hospital to the south, and residential areas to the north, providing convenient transportation and ample supporting infrastructure.
Our vision is to create a tranquil, leisurely space within the city, cultivating a relaxed atmosphere through refined architectural design. We aim to make the building a bridge that fosters communication between people, and between humans and nature—offering an escape from urban work life, encouraging a slower pace, tranquility, and appreciation of the natural world.
Using a modern design language, the architecture establishes a connection with the natural environment, responding thoughtfully to its surroundings and creating opportunities for integration with nature. Emphasizing the symbiotic relationship between humans and the landscape, the project creates a bridge between residents and nature, delivering high-quality living spaces that harmonize nature, people, and environment, facilitating a meaningful dialogue with the natural world.
02 Architectural Design
The design ingeniously interlocks and stacks fragmented blocks, weaving virtual and real elements to craft a dynamic, undulating skyline. This approach echoes an abstract, fluid form, complemented by natural water flow patterns that wind through the site, reflecting a harmonious balance between rigidity and flexibility.
The façade features a simple, modern style—exquisite yet calm—with geometric expressions and stepped spatial rhythms. The design reveals refined artistic qualities through minimalist means, adhering to craftsmanship that carves pure artistic beauty. Innovative shapes incorporate modern interpretations of traditional Chinese techniques. The interplay of architectural lines, light, and shadow creates a free-flowing artistic space that fosters a peaceful and relaxing vacation atmosphere.
The building’s main structure is coated with light-colored paint, lending a serene and simple appearance that prevents any dullness. Tall dark aluminum window panels are refined and accented with decorative grilles, blending reality with abstraction to highlight architectural features.
The combination of imitation stone coating with dark aluminum panels creates a striking contrast between natural textures and industrial materials. This fusion of modern civilization and nature highlights the city’s natural charm. Simple decorative lines are refined, edges finished with dark metallic paint, and complex ornamentation is removed, resulting in a design that balances rationality with sensitivity.
03 Interior and Exterior Spaces
The landscaping embraces a pure, natural style, crafting a simple and serene aesthetic that allows the soul to experience the tranquility of an urban oasis.
The use of gray spaces blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, allowing residents to experience the building’s adaptability and fostering an aesthetic of “slow living.” Each residence features a private courtyard, creating a unique personal world.
Interior design integrates light, shadow, wind, plants, and cultural elements, drawing from the Eastern artistic concept of “the coexistence of the virtual and the real.” This fusion creates a space that blends traditional Chinese charm with modern artistic aesthetics, evoking a peaceful and humble natural spirit.
By returning to simplicity and removing unnecessary luxury, the design uses contrasting materials and scale control to express warmth and a human touch, offering a simple and welcoming atmosphere.
04 BIM & Intelligent Design
To fully realize the design concept of “winding interweaving” and the façade system that balances rigidity and flexibility, this project employs comprehensive digital design tools and BIM (Building Information Modeling). BIM facilitates seamless collaboration across all disciplines. During the construction documentation phase, the 3D visualization capabilities of BIM enable automatic generation and verification of fabrication data, ensuring alignment between the design and project implementation.
Moreover, intelligent design enhances hotel management and services by addressing guests’ personalized needs, improving quality, efficiency, and satisfaction. Pre-designed energy management strategies optimize equipment performance, advancing low-carbon energy conservation and emission reduction. Technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and big data are integrated to manage hotel and social resources effectively and promote resource sharing.
