BIM Architecture: Amy Future Agriculture, Culture, and Tourism Town by Additive Think Tank

Amy Future Agricultural and Cultural Tourism Town leverages advanced technologies such as 5G, big data, artificial intelligence, and drones to create a vision of future agriculture. This project serves as a demonstration zone integrating ecotourism, industrial showcases, and technology promotion models. From the outset, the design concept “Future ALL” was introduced, aiming to futuristicize every aspect: Future Agriculture — advancing agricultural practices; Future Landscape — reimagining natural scenery; and Future Life — enhancing daily living through innovation. The goal is to highlight how cutting-edge technology impacts material production and our world.

In the realm of automated material production, a series of minimalist structures are strategically positioned along key points of the main tourist routes. These forms respond to the earth’s geometric contours, serving not only as tourist and leisure hubs but also symbolizing an enigmatic force—an unknown energy that transcends human reach, engaging in a dialogue between the unknown future and today’s production world.

The journey begins at the entrance gate, from which a regular sightseeing trail unfolds, following a farmland pattern shaped by automated production methods. This trail connects a series of landscape nodes, implemented in phases according to the master plan. A bird’s-eye view reveals the completed portion of the first phase, with further construction planned to proceed gradually.

The initial design concept emerged from poetic imagery and symbolism, exploring the possible relationships between material production, consumption, and the spiritual core within the ultimate realm of technological advancement. These constructions embody imaginative interpretations of technology, the future, and the unknown.

The entrance gate features a steel structure with variable cross-sections, forming an upward-reaching shape. It includes a 30-meter-long pedestrian corridor that is visually enclosed yet allows sunlight to filter through. The columns intersect with inclined ribs, creating a stable mechanical structure.

The spacing and width of the columns are in a precise one-to-one ratio, so as visitors walk through, their vision is confined between the two rows. Light gently seeps through the gaps, directing the gaze toward the scenery at the corridor’s end, guiding visitors forward.

In contrast to typical rural projects that rely on local materials and traditional methods, this design embraces “non-local” approaches. It employs modern industrial materials and extensively uses highly reflective mirror-finish stainless steel. This creates a floating illusion for the structures through hidden supports and cantilevers, evoking a poetic vision of the future.

The circular volume, with a 24-meter diameter, functions as a corridor, an altar, and a celestial object hovering over the field. Its minimalist form carries multi-layered meanings, blending ancient symbolism with modern interpretations, evoking both familiarity and mystery.

The reflective stainless steel facade causes the square volume to merge with its surroundings, blurring edges and boundaries. Visitors experience an illusion of passing through an invisible wall by stepping through the prominent circular opening at the center.

The mirror edge surrounding the circular opening reflects the sunset’s afterglow, creating the effect of an artificial halo. This halo forms only at specific solar angles during certain seasons. Through this carefully designed feature, the project connects to forces beyond human control. In this wild production landscape, humans can cultivate rice but must patiently await sunlight to pass through the ring, nourishing the earth and fostering growth.

The top of the pavilion features an inverted cone that funnels rainwater onto a smaller inverted cone tea table on the ground. Three slender columns are anchored tangentially to the circular edge and concealed with stainless steel, giving the impression that the funnel floats. This design symbolizes a sense of gratitude, contrasting typical buildings where rainwater is simply drained; here it is collected gently, as if held in the palm of a hand.
