About Meet 11
Meet 11 Huayang Restaurant is situated in Qingguo Lane Phase II, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The name “Meet” signifies gathering and sharing moments, while “11” represents the experience of tasting eleven distinct flavors.

Conceptual Highlights
1. Dialogue through Design: Just three meters west of the main venue stands a two-story standalone building. This space serves traditional Changzhou fusion private cuisine and is run by an elder from the Meet 11 family. This arrangement—one lane with two stores, one representing the past and the other the present—showcases contrasting interior styles and philosophies between the older and younger generations, creating an intangible dialogue between the spaces.

2. Structural Order: Despite multiple columns within the space, the overall layout remains square and orderly. This allows for integration into a structured environment that conveys a strong sense of rhythm. The design concept draws inspiration from Arabesque patterns—recognized for their infinite beauty, graceful curves reminiscent of ballet, and melodic qualities in music—all unified by a harmonious “order.” Targeting young, independent modern women in Changzhou, the space embodies softness, gentleness, and curves that reflect the essence of Arabesque aesthetics. The goal is to immerse visitors in the rhythmic balance and beauty of this design.

Challenges
The design faced several challenges: managing the numerous supporting columns without compromising spatial flow, addressing the lack of natural light within the venue, incorporating modern technology into the “light” eggshell private rooms, and creating an atmospheric environment that highlights Meet 11’s unique identity.

Design Approach
The core spatial concept revolves around Arabesque motifs, with the signature feature being the “Arabesque Arches.” These arches are modularized to form the entire structural framework, lending expressive tension and cohesion to the space.

This modular structural system significantly reduces construction errors and boosts efficiency. Adjacent to the main entrance on the left is a fully equipped bar counter serving alcoholic beverages. Its strategic location ensures optimal service coverage across the entire venue. The bar’s standout feature is the illuminated layered frame overhead, made from a 1.5cm thick light guide plate with a diffusion film. When lit, it gives a striking floating effect.
Opposite the bar, four 3/4 circular booths are arranged with tropical plants between them, fostering a relaxed, vacation-like atmosphere. Additionally, two semi-open “eggshell” private spaces are integrated within the venue. These shells feature multiple openings that maintain visual flow and interaction with the surrounding area, blending privacy with openness. The craftsmanship for these eggshells was challenging, requiring a structure only 1cm thick yet highly strong and flexible—achieving unprecedented thinness without compromising durability. These contrasting forms coexist harmoniously, creating distinct atmospheres and spatial experiences.

The walls feature minimal decoration, limited to two partial surfaces accented with subtle Arabesque patterns set 8cm from the wall. Behind these, softly glowing optical fibers add a sense of presence and a “breathing” effect. The floors are finished with durable, oil-resistant decorative concrete, carefully chosen to complement the overall color scheme.
To enhance the ambiance, 13 hyperbolic acrylic chandeliers hang within the “hollow” areas of the ceiling structure. As guests move through the space, these chandeliers appear to shift and change shape, adding dynamic visual interest.

In harmony with Changzhou’s climate, the space incorporates tropical plants throughout, fostering an inviting environment filled with natural light, warmth, and a relaxed vibe.

Conclusion
Time flows and years pass, yet the “Rhythm” space of Meet 11, shaped by Arabesque elements, creates an environment defined by order, movement, energy, time, nature, and softness. It is here that guests gather to experience Meet 11 and savor eleven exquisite flavors that celebrate life.
