The Five Key Characteristics of BIM

1. Visualization

5. Document Generation (Figurability)

BIM is not aimed at producing traditional architectural or component drawings alone. Instead, by leveraging visualization, coordination, simulation, and optimization, it assists owners in generating key documents such as comprehensive pipeline diagrams, structural hole diagrams, collision detection reports, and recommended improvement plans.
