At this stage, BIM tasks primarily involve finalizing the BIM models for each discipline, completing comprehensive analysis results for various building types based on these models, establishing an integrated BIM model for overall coordination, and generating necessary 2D views from the BIM models for construction drawings. The BIM deliverables during the construction drawing design phase should include the following:
1) BIM Professional Design Model: The finalized BIM design models for each discipline must be submitted.
2) BIM Comprehensive Coordination Model: A coordinated BIM model should be provided to ensure thorough collaboration between specialties and to identify any design errors that could prevent construction.
3) BIM Browsing Model: Similar to the conceptual design phase, a BIM browsing model containing essential engineering data derived from the BIM design model should be made available.
4) Building Analysis Model and Report: The completed cost analysis calculation model and corresponding analysis report should be delivered. Additional analysis models and reports may also be provided as required or requested by the project owner.
5) Visualization Model and Generated Files: A visualization model based on the BIM design model, accurately representing real dimensions, must be submitted. This includes indoor renderings, scene walkthroughs, interactive real-time virtual reality systems, related display video files, and other visualization outputs.
6) 2D Views Generated from BIM Models: After design reviews and revisions to resolve any issues, necessary 2D views—such as plans, elevations, sections, comprehensive piping layouts, and structural hole drawings—can be generated or updated from the BIM models. For final delivery, these views can be exported to a 2D environment for surface detailing. Local detailed drawings may be created directly within the 2D environment or BIM software but are not considered BIM deliverables.
