Revit, also known as Autodesk Revit, is a widely used 3D information modeling software in China. Prior to version 13, Revit was offered as three separate programs, each dedicated to architectural, structural, and mechanical & electrical modeling.

Starting with Revit 2014, the software combined these three separate programs into a single platform divided into three main modules, greatly facilitating collaborative design across different disciplines. Additionally, Revit supports parametric modeling, which means the 3D model contains comprehensive data about its components. This allows seamless interaction and integration with related BIM applications.
The software’s powerful visualization capabilities create dynamic links between views and components. Users can directly edit component information, which automatically updates the entire model’s data. This dynamic linkage management saves time and enhances productivity.
Autodesk Revit not only displays 3D building models but also represents building features through plans, elevations, and sections, generating corresponding drawings in real time. It also offers section analysis functionality, which is especially useful for complex architectural forms like swimming pools and museums. Designers can analyze sections at any selected point, significantly reducing design blind spots.
Moreover, Revit includes a linked update feature that synchronizes changes across related software. When a designer modifies the model, updates are automatically reflected in connected programs, eliminating redundant work and minimizing errors. Since the 3D model maintains a single source of truth for each element, simultaneous changes by multiple designers do not cause conflicting design information, thereby improving design accuracy and efficiency.
